This vampire novel creates a whole new concept of how vampires came into existence over two thousand years ago in Africa. The book is the first of a trilogy in which vampires and immortals seek the prophecy child. In Personal Demons, there is a good amount of action combined with the characters’ inner turmoil to make the story move at a good pace.
The story between Leisha and Tafari is a romance, but it moves along more slowly than the average romances out there since their story spans across three books. They have two thousand years of separation and conflict to work through, so just sit back and enjoy reading as they both try to reconcile while still trying to hold to their own stubborn pride.
The conflict between Samantha and her father, Mason, is also very complex and you simply will not know if they will ever come to an understanding until book three, Personal Savior. Since Samantha is entering book one at the age of sixteen, you are able to watch her grow and mature into a young woman throughout the trilogy.
This series includes many dynamic and interesting characters; vampire, immortal, and human. Whether you have read a great many of the vampire novels or are just being introduced to the genre, you will enjoy this trilogy.
